该方向机助力泵试验台是根据汽车动力转向器（俗称液压方向机）专用标准《QC/T306-1999汽车动力转向控制阀总成台架试验方法》及《QC/T529-2000汽车动力转向器总成台架试验方法》设计要求等相关标准。并依据动力转向器和转向助力泵所出现的故障而设计的，集动力转向器及转向助力泵维修、检测为一体的动力转向器综合性能检测台。该检测设备操作简单、维护方便、检测精度高。经本检测台检测的动力转向器和转向助力泵合格率达到100%。
该方向机试验台采用油压系统，主机变频调速，转速任意预置，计算机与数字表双控双显，试验油恒温控制。
主要检测方向机助力的对称度，左右扭矩，内漏，转向，单边沉重。转向助力泵的工作压力，流量，密封性及相关阀的密封性等各种液压转向系统故障。采用液压泵随时可以调节液压系统的工作状况检测元器件的各种参数。特别适应载重车辆液压转向及工作性能的检测和试验。该机采用压力仪表显示转矩、工作压力等各种参数。
